Product Space Decompositions for Continuous Representations of Brain Connectivity

چکیده
We develop a method for the decomposition of structural brain connectivity estimates into locally coherent components, leveraging a non-parametric Bayesian hierarchical mixture model with tangent Gaussian components. This model provides a mechanism to share information across subjects while still including explicit mixture distributions of connections for each subject. It further uses mixture components defined directly on the surface of the brain, eschewing the usual graphtheoretic framework of structural connectivity in favor of a continuous model that avoids a priori assumptions of parcellation configuration. The results of two experiments on a test-retest dataset are presented, to validate the method. We also provide an example analysis of the components.

Feature Selection Based on Genetic Algorithm in the Diagnosis of Autism Disorder by fMRI
Background: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) occurs based on the continuous deficit in a person’s verbal skills, visual, auditory, touch, and social behavior. Over the last two decades, one of the most important approaches in studying brain functions in autistic persons is using functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI). Objectives: It is common to use all brain regions in functional extracti...

Consider the semidirect product group H ×? K, where H and K are two arbitrary locally compact groups and K is also abelian. We introduce the continuous wavelet transform associated to some square integrable representations H ×? K. Moreover, we try to obtain a concrete form for admissible vectors of these integrable representations.
متن کاملWeak Banach-Saks property in the space of compact operators
For suitable Banach spaces $X$ and $Y$ with Schauder decompositions and a suitable closed subspace $mathcal{M}$ of some compact operator space from $X$ to $Y$, it is shown that the strong Banach-Saks-ness of all evaluation operators on ${mathcal M}$ is a sufficient condition for the weak Banach-Saks property of ${mathcal M}$, where for each $xin X$ and $y^*in Y^*$, the evaluation op...
متن کاملA Theory of the Connectivity Dimensionality Field in Edge- Vertex Graphs and Discrete-Continuous Dual Spaces
Over the years, a number of measures have been defined for the purpose of determining the number of independent dimensions contained in a space. The most common dimensionality measures are the topological dimensionality and various kinds of fractal dimensionalities. While each of these dimensionality measures is useful in its own right, none of them accurately quantifies the effective number of...
متن کاملBrain Connectivity Reflected in Electroencephalogram Coherence in Individuals With Autism: A Meta-analysis
Introduction: Many theories have been proposed about the etiology of autism. One is related to brain connectivity in patients with autism. Several studies have reported brain connectivity changes in autism disease. This study was performed on Electroencephalogram (EEG) studies that evaluated patients with autism, using functional brain connectivity, and compared them with typically-developing i...
